MARITHE + FRANÇOIS GIRBAUD
CONSTRUKT
New York
Concept, Creative Direction, Curating, Production
French duo Marithé + François Girbaud are early visionaries of fashion design, rethinking shape, function, revolutionizing techniques and treating communication campaigns as provocative political comments on our society. The Construkt Series celebrates the decade-long tradition of fashion and fabric innovations of the successful French duo, through quarterly releases of limited-edition design objects created by some of today's best product designers and offered for sale at their New York flagship store, in Soho.

Showroom Design
New York
Formavision was commissioned to design and build the New York showroom of Marithé + François, keeping in mind the raw energy of the Parisian brand. To convey this feeling, we shot an empty Haussmannian apartment in Paris, and printed the walls at real scale in the brand’s New York showroom. We completed the design concept by building a French parquet floor, and by adding a selection of vintage design items, and paintings by young French contemporary artist.
